Advocacy and events coordination

The Countdown Sub-Committee on advocacy and events coordination promotes and disseminates Countdown 2015 findings at global, regional, and national levels, and advocates for political action at high level policy forums on the Millennium Development Goals and development.  Key advocacy targets parliamentarians and other policy-makers, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union.  The dissemination strategy includes media outreach, messaging, and publications to promote the human face behind the findings and advocate intervention coverage across the continuum of care for maternal, newborn, and child health.   This sub-committee coordinates Countdown conferences and events.   The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (PMNCH) and Family Care International (FCI) are the co-chairs of this sub-committee.
